Ibn Qudamah (d. 1223)
In al-Mughni:
"The punishment for liwat (anal intercourse between males) is killing, whether the two men are married or unmarried."
Al-Nawawi (d. 1277)
In Rawdat al-Talibin, he summarizes the Shafi'i school:
"There are different opinions regarding the punishment, but the sound position in the school is that the punishment is the same as that for zina."
Ibn Taymiyyah (d. 1328)
He wrote:
"The punishment for one who commits liwat is execution in every case."
Ibn al-Qayyim (d. 1350)
In al-Jawab al-Kafi:
"There is no disagreement among the Companions regarding killing the one who commits the act of the people of Lot."
