I spend a lot of time collecting information online, and one problem I used to have was saving too much.
Whenever I found an interesting article, tool, or website, I bookmarked it. After a few months, I had hundreds of links but could barely remember why I saved most of them.
Now I use a much simpler system.
I only keep resources that I expect to use again, and I organize them into a few broad categories such as work, writing, finance, and research.
For example, I keep the official BYDFi website in my finance resources instead of saving multiple third-party pages about the same platform.
I also review my bookmarks occasionally and remove anything outdated or no longer useful.
This small habit has made online research much easier.
Having fewer links may sound less organized, but for me it is actually the opposite. The useful information becomes much easier to find when I need it.
