Dear Sir/Madam,

As part of our team’s participation in the TCS Expo, we had the opportunity to explore various projects that demonstrated the application of Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, Computer Vision, and Automation to real-world industry problems.

1. WaferLens – AI-Powered Semiconductor Equipment

WaferLens is an AI-powered semiconductor equipment solution designed to assist with the precise alignment of semiconductor chips or wafer components during the manufacturing process.

During the demonstration, our team got an overview of how AI and Computer Vision can be used to assist with chip alignment and improve accuracy in semiconductor manufacturing. It was interesting to see how AI can be applied not only to software-based applications but also to physical hardware and manufacturing processes.

Key Technologies: AI, Computer Vision, Semiconductor Manufacturing

2. AI Agent for Chip Verification

This project demonstrated the use of an AI agent to assist in semiconductor chip verification.

From the demonstration, our team learned how an AI agent can assist engineers in analyzing chip designs and identifying possible issues during the verification process. It gave us an insight into how AI agents can support engineers with complex technical tasks and potentially reduce some of the manual effort involved in verification.

Key Technologies: Generative AI, AI Agents, Semiconductor Design, Chip Verification

3. AI-Driven Chip Design – Requirement to HDL

This project demonstrated the use of AI in semiconductor chip design, particularly in converting requirements into Hardware Description Language (HDL).

The concept presented was that an engineer can provide functional requirements to an AI-based system, which can then generate an initial version of the HDL code. The generated code can subsequently be reviewed and refined as required.

Our team found this project particularly interesting because it showed how Generative AI can assist engineers in converting requirements into a technical implementation.

Key Technologies: Generative AI, LLMs, HDL, Semiconductor Design

4. TCS OneEngine – Autonomous IT Operations

TCS OneEngine demonstrated the application of AI and automation in IT operations.

During the demonstration, our team got an overview of how AI can assist with activities such as monitoring IT systems, identifying incidents, analyzing issues, and automating certain operational tasks. The project helped us understand how AI and automation can work together to reduce manual intervention and make IT operations more efficient.

Key Technologies: AI, Automation, AI Agents, IT Operations, Autonomous Operations

Overall, the TCS Expo was a valuable learning experience for our team and gave us exposure to new technologies and their practical industry applications. The demonstrations helped us understand how AI is being explored across different domains, including semiconductor manufacturing, chip verification, chip design, and IT operations.

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to attend the expo and gain exposure to these emerging technologies.

Regards,
Aman Kumar
