Let me start off by saying how much aura Armin has. This man has never missed a day in his life. I have simply watched this dude go one hundred percent from the field on plans. Every time something crazy is happening, this man Armin already has some crazy shit figured out. Not to mention this dude is basically Akinator. He knows too much, which scares me because he might get tossed for being a little too in the loop. In a show like this, being useful seems like it might get you killed type shit.
Second, Annie was the Titan all along. I remembered her once I saw her again, and honestly, I think she is easily the biggest rat bastard. She slimed the entire mission and killed some genuinely tuff characters. And somehow her ass still got spared by Eren, who I will get to in a second because he is possibly fiction's biggest pussy when it comes to actually committing to something.
I genuinely can't believe they spared Annie after everything she did. She caused all that destruction and then basically revealed herself as the Titan. Even that reveal felt like it should have made it obvious that she was not exactly a good person. Then she just crystallized herself and dipped out of the situation. I was sitting there like, bro, are we seriously just letting her do this?
Eren needs to do some fucking work too though. He is getting grass-fed some sorry ass beatdowns when he’s a Titan. Maybe I just haven't seen his full power yet, but I also don't really understand what his Titan's actual ability is. Annie had that thick skin-hardening ability, while Eren hasn't really shown me anything like that yet. He was on fire for a little bit near the end, which was cool as hell, but I haven't really seen a concrete power that makes his Titan stand out besides just being the protagonist.
Now onto Levi. This dude might actually be the goat of goats when he locks in. I have never once seen him fail to take the spotlight when the moment calls for it. He genuinely soloed Annie while having a twisted ankle. Then, at the end fight of the season, he pulls up for like three seconds and becomes surgical with the ODM gear, getting Eren out of his Titan body within three frames of animation. If I wasn't mistaken, this dude might actually be God.
Here we go with Jean. His aura grows by the episode. At first I didn't really think much of him, but when he took off the disguise near the end and was immediately ready to throw hands, he jumped straight into my top five. He just seems way more confident now. He does scare me though, because I can already see how he could be a devastating death later on. The more I like a character in this show, the more I feel like I have to worry about them getting absolutely destroyed.
Then there is Erwin. Erwin has a silent aura. He says some of the fewest words out of everyone, but I would never stand less than ten feet away from this man. There is just something about him. He doesn't even need to do anything. He just walks into a scene and I already feel like he knows exactly what is going on. I also haven't really seen my man Erwin do anything crazy with the ODM gear yet, but all in good time, I'd say. I feel like there is going to be a moment where he finally goes crazy, and I am waiting for it.
Mikasa is also super tough. She gives off a watered-down Levi vibe. I don't fully trust that she can do anything quite like Levi can, but she is still obviously one of the strongest Scouts. I think she is one of, if not the second strongest Scout we've seen so far.
As for my theories, I think there is going to be some kind of civil war situation eventually. I believe there are 1000% more Titan shifters, but they are all going to have different alignments and goals. Which could lead to way more conflict inside the walls instead of everyone just fighting the Titans outside. I could see some people using the Titans outside the walls as an army to bring some sort of invasion into the cities. All in good time though.
Now that I know Titan shifters can absorb each other too, I also have a theory that someone could eventually just be out there sliming other shifters and consuming everything they have. Basically, someone could become some crazy ass powerful Titan by collecting all these different abilities potentially.
I obviously have no idea if any of this is actually true, but that's where my head is at after Season 1.
Overall, I really liked Season 1. I have a million questions and I feel like I understand almost nothing about what is actually going on, but that is also what makes it so interesting.
Armin is my favorite, Annie is a rat bastard, Eren is the goat when he locks in but needs to stop being a pussy, Jean's growing on me. Erwin is the father. And Levi solos. Basics are basic.
