Major Updates Arriving in WoW TBC Classic Phase 2

Burning Crusade Phase Two is approaching, bringing several important updates to TBC Classic. This phase introduces two new raids, additional factions, fresh PvP rewards, new mounts, and class-specific content. The following sections outline five major changes arriving with Phase Two and what players can expect.

Serpentshrine Cavern and Tempest Keep

Two new 25-man raids are being introduced in Phase Two. The first is Serpentshrine Cavern, located in Zangarmarsh. This raid features six different bosses. Players will be able to obtain new epic items as well as Tier Five tokens. In addition, there will be many new profession-related rewards such as patterns and plans. Many crafted items require Primal Nether, so it is advisable to hold on to them in preparation for crafting new epic gear. For players preparing extensively for raid progression, securing additional WoW Classic 20th Anniversary Gold can help cover crafting materials and consumables.

The second 25-man raid is Tempest Keep, located in Netherstorm. It contains four different bosses. Mana users and healers should begin storing Nethergon Energy, which can finally be used in this raid. This makes it more affordable to use these consumables instead of Super Mana Potions. Tempest Keep also offers the chance to obtain a Phoenix mount with 310% flying speed. Although it has a low drop chance, it remains one of the most impressive mounts throughout the expansion.

New Mounts and the Sha'tari Skyguard

Phase Two introduces another mount that is significantly easier to obtain: the Nether Ray. It offers 280% flying speed and comes in several color variations. This mount is earned by reaching Exalted reputation with the new faction, the Sha'tari Skyguard, located in Terokkar Forest.

In addition to mounts, this faction offers two trinkets—one for spell casters and one for melee DPS and hunters. These trinkets increase critical strike chance and have a 50% chance to grant a 30-second buff when killing an enemy that provides honor or experience. Players can also obtain a Nether Ray companion.

The Sha'tari Skyguard reputation rewards include two cloaks that reduce fall speed for 10 seconds, with a 30-minute cooldown. These cloaks can be valuable in specific situations such as world PvP. A tabard is also available upon reaching Exalted. During daily quests, players may summon an elite enemy with a chance to drop a trinket that transforms the character into a new illusion.

Blade's Edge Mountains Faction

Another new faction is being introduced in Blade's Edge Mountains. To begin unlocking daily quests, players must first pick up a quest in the center of Shattrath City and speak with an ogre in the Lower City. The follow-up quest chain leads to Blade's Edge Mountains. Completing this chain is required to access the faction’s daily quests.

This faction offers various rare and epic items, but it requires a lengthy reputation grind. It may be useful for freshly leveled 70 characters, but players already raiding Tier Four content may find fewer essential rewards. There are no mounts, pets, or illusions available upon reaching Exalted, making the Sha'tari Skyguard a more appealing reputation focus for many players. Those preparing for multiple reputation grinds may consider additional WoW Gold to support enchantments, consumables, and gear upgrades.

Arena Season Two and Merciless Gladiator Gear

Arena Season One is ending, and Season Two will begin in Phase Two with the Merciless Gladiator set. New items will be available from Honor Quartermasters in Stormwind City and Orgrimmar. Players can purchase the Merciless set using Arena points earned by completing ten arena matches per week.

The new weapons share the same appearance as those from the previous season. However, two new shields are being introduced—one for healers and one for spell casters.

Druid Swift Flight Form and Anzu Mount

Druids can finally obtain the Swift Flight Form through a quest chain, granting a new flight form with 280% flying speed. The quest chain is lengthy, and one of the final steps requires entering Heroic Sethekk Halls.

Inside Sethekk Halls, players can use a special item to summon a third boss, Anzu. Anzu has a low chance to drop a mount with the same appearance. This boss can only be summoned once per day whenever heroics reset, making the mount a rare but desirable reward.

Phase Two brings substantial additions to TBC Classic, including new raids, reputation grinds, PvP rewards, mounts, and class-specific content. These updates reshape progression paths and provide fresh goals for both PvE and PvP players.
