Parsec makes sense for people whose useful computer is not always the one in front of them. Sometimes the desktop with the right files games or tools is at home while the only available screen is a phone or tablet. A responsive remote connection can turn that gap into something workable.
The appeal is not simply seeing another computer from Android. Parsec is designed around a faster and more immediate feel which matters when a remote desktop is being used for a creative task shared play or quick technical check instead of a slow one-off file transfer. Controller support and low latency streaming are part of why it appeals to both players and people who occasionally need access to a familiar desktop setup.
It also rewards a little preparation. The host computer needs to be set up the account needs access to it and a reliable connection makes a major difference. Once those pieces are in place opening a session can be more convenient than waiting until you are back at the desk.
